‘Chrono Trigger’: The Progress of Evil through Time

Chrono Trigger for the Super Nintendo has consistently ranked as one of the best video games of all time.  From the beginning, it was intended to be a best-seller, having behind it a ‘dream team’ of game designers:

Knowing that, we should not be surprised to find that the Elite used it as a vehicle to program the gaming public.  And there do seem to be quite a few messages therein.  We will examine them mainly by exploring the general themes of the major time periods presented in the game, which are as follows:

65,000,000 B.C.
12,000 B.C.
600 A.D.
1000 A.D.
1999 A.D.
2300 A.D.

At the outset, though, we would like to look at the story thread of Lavos, as this is the most important detail in the game to consider.  It is our belief that it is a veiled picture of evil here on Earth:  Satan, the Antichrist, and the New World Order.

Lavos is an entity that comes from the heavens and crashes into the planet on which CT takes place in 65,000,000 B.C.  This is remarkably similar to Satan’s fall from Heaven as described by the Holy Prophet Isaiah (see also Luke 10:18):

How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning!

The numbers the game designers chose for the year of this calamity would seem to confirm this belikening.  Adding 6 and 5 from the 65,000,000 date gives 11, which in numerology is a symbol of evil and sin:

Saint Augustine stated that “the number 11 is the blazon of sin”.

Eleven was considered a symbol of internal conflict and rebellion.

It was compared to the unbalancing of the number ten, a pillar in the universe, number eleven represented disorder.

Ten symbolized a complete cycle, by adding one; eleven was a symbol of exaggeration, extravagance and human sin.

The next major appearance of Lavos is in 12,000 B.C. when he is awakened at the ocean floor by Queen Zeal’s use of the Mammon Machine, which has been built to harness its energy that she might gain immortality for herself.  Again, the numbers of the date are important.  Both 12 and 1,000 represent completion or perfection:

This calls to mind St Paul’s teaching in Galatians 4:4 that Christ was born in the flesh ‘when the fulness of time had come’.  So are CT’s designers trying to depict Christ’s birth in the flesh?  The circumstances point rather to the birth Antichrist.

The world at this time in CT is exactly what the Elite want to see here on the Earth: a two-tiered society with the Elite living in a technological paradise and the rest of mankind living in squalor as slaves (see the movie Elysium, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elysium_(film)#Plot).

The Dark Ages of Chrono Trigger are beset by an Ice Age created by Lavos's fall millions of years earlier. The planet is covered in ice, snow, and tundra, and only in the high reaches of the atmosphere does grass grow on the floating continent of Zeal. Humans exist in both places; those on the planet's surface live in a complex cave network. Named the Earthbound, they cannot use magic and must depend on backbreaking manual labor for subsistence. Those with the gift of magic are known as the Enlightened Ones and reside on land masses magically levitating in the sky. Called the Kingdom of Zeal, these domains support verdant plant life, golden cities, and advanced power and knowledge. The people of Zeal are very prejudiced against the Earthbound, whom they tap for slave labor.

And the fulfilment of the Elites’ plans is the enthronement of Antichrist.

Furthermore, just as the Holy Fathers teach that Antichrist will be born of a depraved woman (in an evil imitation of Christ’s virgin birth), so we see Lavos awakened by such a one in Queen Zeal with her sinful desire for eternal life gotten by unchristian means.

Likewise, three Gurus are present at this event.  They bear the names of those traditionally given to the Magi who visited the Christ child: Balthasar, Gaspar, and Melchior.  But the events described point not to Christ, but to Antichrist.

The Mammon Machine, too, which is used to awaken Lavos, makes for a good symbol of the corporate-industrial economic and political system that the Elite/New World Order types have been building in order to make a one world government under Antichrist possible.

In this time period, preceding Lavos’s rising, there also appear a race of non-human, demonic-looking Mystics or Fiends, that have been created by the people of Zeal.

This theme of the arrival of a new race of beings who will inhabit the Earth with man is one that has been recurring in TV, movies, the news, etc.  Some ensamples:

Outer space aliens called Taelons in Earth: Final Conflict (TV):

Genetically engineered super soldiers in SeaQuest (TV):

Another space alien named Stitch in Disney’s Lilo and Stitch movie:

Various news reports about the imminent discovery and/or arrival of offworld lifeforms:

Pope Francis says he would baptize aliens:

So well has the propaganda campaign been waged by the Elite through the science fiction genre that ‘90% of believers did not think they would suffer a crisis of faith should intelligent extraterrestrial life be discovered’ (Steve Rose, https://www.theguardian.com/science/shortcuts/2014/may/14/pope-francis-baptise-martian-would-they-want-our-religions, 29 June 2017).

So what are we getting at?  That CT is engaging in predictive programming:  The Fiends appear in Zeal among men before Lavos rises; on the Earth, multitudes of demons will appear among men in some highly visible form before Antichrist comes.  Fr Seraphim Rose of blessed memory says this:

The Meaning of UFOs - ORTHODOXY and the Religion of the Future

by Fr. Seraphim Rose, Copyright 1975

What then, is the meaning of the UFO phenomena of our time? Why have they appeared at just this time in history? To what future do they point?

First, UFO phenomena are but one part of an astonishing outpouring of “paranormal” events---what just a few years ago most people would have considered as “miracles.” Dr. Vallee, in The Invisible College, expresses the secular appreciation of this fact: “Observations of unusual events suddenly loom into our environment by the thousands” (p. 87), causing “a general shifting of man’s belief patterns, his entire relationship of the invisible” (p. 114), “Something is happening to human consciousness” (p. 34); the same “powerful force [that] has influenced the human race in the past is again influencing it now” (p. 14). In Christian language this means: a new demonic outpouring is being loosed upon mankind. In the Christian apocalyptic view (see the end of this book), we can see that the power which until now has restrained the final and most terrible manifestation of demonic activity on earth has been taken away (II Thess. 2:7), Orthodox Christian government and public order (Whose chief representative on earth was the Orthodox emperor) and the Orthodox Christian world view no longer exists as a whole, and satan has been “loosed out of his prison,” where he was kept by grace of the Church of Christ, in order to “deceive the nations” (Apoc. 20:7-8) and prepare them to worship antichrist at the end of the age. Perhaps never since the beginning of the Christian era have demons appeared so openly and extensively as today. The “visitors from outer space” theory is but one of the many pretexts they are using to gain acceptance for the idea that “higher beings” are now to take charge of the destiny of mankind.”

Second, UFOs are but the newest of the mediumistic techniques by which the devil gains initiates into his occult realm. They are a terrible sign that man has become susceptible to demonic influence as never before in the Christian era. In the 19th century it was usually necessary to seek out dark séance rooms in order to enter into contact with demons, but now one need only look into the sky (usually at night, it is true). Mankind has lost what remained of basic Christian understanding up to now, and now passively places itself at the disposal of whatever “powers” may descend from the sky. The new film, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, is a shocking revelation of how superstitious “post-Christian” man has come – ready in an instant and unquestioningly to believe and follow hardly-disguised demons wherever they might lead.

Third, the “message” of the UFOs is: prepare for anti-christ; the “savior” of the apostate world is coming to rule it. Perhaps he himself will come in the air, in order to complete his impersonation of Christ ( Matt. 24:30; Acts 1:11); perhaps only the “visitors from outer space” will land to offer “cosmic” worship of their master; perhaps the “fire from heaven” (Apoc. 13:13) will be only part of the great demonic spectacles of the last times. At any rate, the message for contemporary mankind is: expect deliverance, not from the Christian revelation and faith in an unseen God, but from vehicles from the sky.

(Pages 106 – 111)

We live near the end of this fearful age of demonic triumph and rejoicing, when the eerie “humanoids” (another of the masks of the demons) have become visible to thousands of people by their absurd encounters take possession of the souls of those men whom God’s grace has departed. The UFO phenomenon is a sign to Orthodox Christians to walk all the more cautiously and soberly on the path to salvation, knowing that we can be tempted and seduced not merely by false religions, but even by seemingly physical objects which just catch the eye. In earlier centuries Christians were very cautious about strange and new phenomena, knowing of the devil’s wiles; but after the modern age of “enlightenment” most people have become merely curious about such things and even pursue them, relegating the devil to a half-imaginary realm. Awareness of the nature of UFOs, then, can be a help in awakening Orthodox Christians to a conscious spiritual life of a conscious Orthodox world-view that does not easily follow after the fashionable ideas of the times.

The conscious Orthodox Christian lives in a world that is clearly fallen, both the earth and the stars above, all being equally far from the lost paradise for which he is striving. He is part of a suffering mankind all descended fro the one Adam, the first man, and all alike in need of the redemption offered freely by the Son of God by His saving Sacrifice on the Cross. He knows that man is not to “evolve” into something “higher”, nor has he any reason to believe that there are “highly evolved” beings on other planets; but he knows well that there are indeed “advanced intelligences” in the universe besides himself; these are of two kinds, and he strives to live as to dwell with those who serve God (the angels) and avoid contact with the others who have rejected God and strive in their envy and malice to draw man into their misfortune (the demons). He knows that man, out of self-love and weakness, is clearly inclined to follow error and believe in “fairy tales” that promise contact with a “higher state” or “higher beings” without the struggle of Christian life – in fact, precisely as an escape from the struggle of Christian life. He distrusts his own ability to see through the deceptions of the demons, and therefore clings all the more firmly to the Scriptural and Patristic guidelines which the Church of Christ provides for his life.

Such a one has the possibility to resist the religion of the future, the religion of antichrist, in whatever form it may present itself; the rest of mankind, save by a miracle of God, is lost.

(Pages 113 – 114)

Fr Alexey Young adds this about the dangers of seeking out ‘alien encounters’:

Although Streiber now believes that his "visitors" are extraterrestrials and have a physical reality, he also calls them "goblins" and "soul eaters," who have the "ability to enter the mind and affect thought," and much, much worse. He writes:

"Increasingly I felt as if I were entering a struggle that might be a struggle for my soul, my essence, or whatever part of me might have reference to the eternal... It was clear that the soul was very much at issue. People [have] experienced feeling as if their souls were being dragged from their bodies. More than one person had seen the visitors in the context of near-death experience."

In spite of all this, Streiber's delusion is so great that he can enthusiastically say that "it is up to each one of us to seek our own contact [with the "visitors], develop it if it occurs, and challenge ourselves to use it for... spiritual growth..."

By contrast, Bishop Ignatius Brianchaninov wrote a century ago: "The perception of spirits with eyes of the sense always brings harm, sometimes greater sometimes less, to men who do not have spiritual perception... He will unfailingly be deceived, he will unfailingly be attracted, he will unfailingly be sealed with the seal of deception...the seal of a frightful injury to his spirit; and further, the possibility of correction and salvation is often lost. This has happened with many, very many. It has happened not only with pagans, whose priests were for the most part in open "communion" with demons; it has happened not only with many Christians who do not know the mysteries of Christianity... it has [also] happened with many strugglers and monks..." (quoted in The Soul After Death, Fr. Seraphim Rose, p.68)

Later, during the final battle with Lavos, there is this exchange among the characters:

Magus: ......  So... since the dawn of time, it [Lavos--W.G.] has slept underground, controlling evolution on this world for his own purpose.

Marle: Are you saying IT'S the reason we're all here?

Magus: We were created only to be harvested.  All people and all living things...  It's over for you...  Your life ends here!

Secretly guiding and exploiting mankind and all life on Earth for its own benefit:  A better description of the actions of the NWO Elite would be hard to find.

***

There is more to explore in CT, but we will do so in later posts.  The analysis of Lavos, however, we will consider finished for now.

A Tale of Two Cultures

First in the [u]nited States, where Evangelicals are very exuberant over the Supreme Court’s ruling in Trinity Lutheran Church v Comer.  What does this ruling mean?  That religious schools can now have (let the excitement build a little) . . . shredded tires on their playgrounds at State expense.  Somehow, this passes for a ‘huge victory’:

Meanwhile, in Russia, over one million people have come to venerate and pray before the holy, Grace-bearing relics of St Nicholas the Wonderworker of Myra since they came to Moscow:

A total of 1,021,500 people have paid their respects to the holy remains, according to data published Saturday on an official website for the relics.

The queue to see the fragments of the saint’s bones on display has regularly extended several kilometers from Moscow’s Cathedral of Christ the Savior since the May 23 beginning of public viewings.

The huge turnout underlines the important of the Orthodox Church and the defining role religion plays for many Russians a quarter-century after the collapse of the officially atheist Soviet Union.

 . . .

Which do you want, Southron?  The ‘constitutional values’ of Exceptional, Indispensable America or a true Christian culture based on the unchanging Faith of the Orthodox Church?
