On
the up side, his life bespeaks the ongoing cultural liveliness of the afore-modern
South that from her (Billy Graham is a North Carolina man) came a preacher of
such accomplishments and reputation.
On
the strictly Orthodox doctrinal level, we would say that Rev Graham was like St
Apollos was before meeting Sts Aquila and Priscilla: He had part of the Truth and did a great deal
with it, but needed someone from the Orthodox Church to ‘expound unto him the
way of God more perfectly’.
24 And a certain Jew
named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the
scriptures, came to Ephesus.
25 This man was
instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake
and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John.
26 And he began to
speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they
took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.

We
do not deny that very many people have been helped by Rev Graham’s preaching,
just as many no doubt were helped by St Apollos’s early preaching. But like the latter, it is an incomplete
message, and it is also a distortion of the True Faith - a message of a
wrathful Father Whose anger towards man can only be sated by the killing of His
Son, of a legalistic/juridical salvation that denies real deification for man
and the creation, of the authority of the Holy Scriptures (sola Scriptura) exalted above that of the Holy Ecumenical Councils
of the Church, etc.
It
is for this reason that it is inappropriate to say of Mr Graham, as many are
now doing, that he is the greatest evangelist since the Apostle Paul, since he
did exactly what the Holy Apostle forbade:
He preached a Gospel different from that of the Apostles (Galatians
1:8).
Therefore,
as Mr Graham was wont to do, we offer an invitation of our own to all those who
admire him to learn about and experience the perfect way taught and lived in
the Orthodox Church:
On
the down side, Mr Graham seems to have had some ties to the globalist/New World
Order Elite. For ensample:

God forgive Mr Graham all his sins and grant him rest with the saints.
