Below
is an essay by Mr Paul H. Yarbrough that serves as a good warning against
applying simplistic abstractions like equality to very complex things like
religions and the cultures which grow out of them.

The
55 delegates to the constitutional convention in 1787 were comprised of 52
Christians, 3 Deists and one of unknown beliefs.
In
the mid-term elections of 2018, some 50 Muslims were elected to Federal, State,
and local (county and municipal) governments in the United States.
By
the year 2030, the Muslim birthrate will exceed the Christian birth rate in the
United States. It appears Christianity's great victory at The Battle of Tours
has been outflanked to the west.
But
none of this should matter in the grand land of "all men are created
equal" blather. Of course, if this oft-misunderstood quote, generally
attributed to Jefferson, has the quality of truth, why are such statistics
kept? Statistics are only available if there is contrast. If everyone is equal
there are no stats. So, we must be reminded that all of the world’s people will
be made equal by some invented puritanical “shining city on a hill”; or by an
equally silly and invented “American Exceptionalism.”
The
establishment, or the left, or the political class or whatever its
current-running name—call it Washington--, keeps such stats so they can feign
concern for while posturing as protecting “its citizens”; at least offering
concerns and protection for the politically correct citizens.
They
are not concerned about Muslim terrorists since they pose no threat to
Washington’s power. Therefore, the more the merrier as far as they are
concerned.
The
real threats as far as Washington is concerned come from wild-eyed people in
places like Ruby Ridge and Waco. That’s why Washington will move heaven and
earth to kill these fiends en masse, but will simply raise a flag over a pile
of rubble in New York while saluting and seeking to assassinate a single
lunatic for the murder of thousands. And by the way, don’t sweat Muslim
immigration. The “shining city on the hill” will bathe them in “American
Exceptionalism.”
Muslim
terrorists we are told are the exception, not the peaceful rule of the true
Islamic faith. So, with the foresight of the inimical, deceased, Ted Kennedy
regarding immigration we now have the specter of Islamic congressmen such as
newly elected Ilan Omar tweeting cleverly painted Jesus slurs thrown at the
Christian Vice President, Mike Pence: “Jesus take the wheel.” If Pence had
retweeted something on the order of Mohammed drinks and drives, the collective
cry by Washington of insensitivity to the “religion of peace” would be heard as
far as Mecca. But Pence is simply mocked because he doesn’t go for drinks with
strange women.
It
is told to our newly arriving huddled masses that the Bible and Crosses are
disallowed in public taxpayer squares, and schools but Muslim women may wear
their hijab even if it means concealing their identity in a legal search. The
precedent of course borrowed from that grand dame of Eastern culture, Nikki
Haley, who proudly tears down the Confederate flag while supporting her Sikh
relatives right to carry knives in their turbans.
The
Saracens were not invading Christendom in the 8th century any more than they
are invading These United States today—not so? Wouldn't you suppose they swept
northward into the Frankish kingdom spreading peace and goodwill?
Not
unlike our own native-born Louis Farrakhan message of peace, “White people
deserve to die, and they know, so they think it’s us coming to do it”; or “The
Jews don’t like Farrakhan, so they call me Hitler. Well, that’s a good name.
Hitler was a very great man.” These are people of peace. They are people
of love. They could be Valentine messengers.
In
2018 the first openly homosexual governor was elected to office (Colorado). In
2016 the first woman ran for president and the first openly firmly-committed
socialist made a serious attempt for the same office.
It
is no stretch and a prediction that 2020 will see an openly
"peaceful" Muslim as at least the vice-presidential candidate,
probably as a Democrat since they love to grab the weird stuff first. The
Republicans only climb on the weird bandwagon later.
It
would by no means be a stretch to see a 2024 presidential Muslim candidate and
ultimate winner. Then another first: The first swearing-in with the hand of the
presidential-elect placed on the Koran.
The
last Senate chaplain of great renown was Peter Marshall, remembered well
through a biography written by his wife, Catherine: A Man Called Peter. With
the current birthrate of Muslims vs Christians perhaps before the 22nd century,
some widow of a man of the religion of peace will have an opportunity to write
a biography on the order of A Man Called Abdul.
