For
the past few years, folks like Dr Steve Turley have been trying very hard to
convince us that the mainstream media (MSM) has been defanged, that a new
conservative era full of well-informed, nationalist patriots is unfolding
before us. Judging by how the
coronavirus ‘pandemic’ has played out, we think that they are a bit off in
their pronouncements. If significant
numbers of folks had really become aware of the falsehoods coming from the MSM,
there would be even now massive uprisings against the draconian measures being
taken in the name of fighting ‘the virus’, which, again, has been much less
deadly than the seasonal flu and/or pneumonia:
Instead,
what we have seen is people flocking back to the MSM:
The network newscasts had
lost relevance, thanks to cable and digital media. Now, the coronavirus has put
tens of millions of viewers back in the 6:30 p.m. habit.
Whatever
gains traditionalists, nationalists, etc., reap from the reorganization that
comes about in the wake of ‘the virus’ (and there may be some, like the
rebuilding of local economies, the return of some manufacturing capacity from
overseas, a renewed sense of national identity, and the like), they are likely
to pale in comparison to those gained by the technocratic Elite, who are using
this to further their own ends of consolidating global control:
This
would not be the case if people really were awake to the lies of the MSM. The coronavirus scare is entirely media
generated, but people are willfully believing their lies. A new conservative age? Probably not just yet, but with a return to
the Orthodox Church, with the embrace of the Truth that is within Her, with the
purification of the nous (the eye of the heart and ontological receptor within
man), there could be.
