The Beginnings of Modern Technocracy

Prof Micah Mattix’s posting of pictures of French Roman Catholic cathedrals reminds us of something we have pointed out before:  that the gothic cathedrals aren’t so much a form of high art as they are the first modern technocratic deconstruction of man.  The Cathedral of St Pierre of Beauvais is good ensample of the giant, inhuman machine that crushes and devours our humanity rather than healing it:

We hope folks will attend to the older, Apostolic, Orthodox artistic ethos instead, which does uplift mankind and the whole cosmos into union with the All-Holy Trinity:

Holy Ælfred the Great, King of England, South Patron, pray for us sinners at the Souð, unworthy though we are!

Anathema to the Union!
