Fighting for Football but not for Churches

La. State Senator Stewart Cathey, Jr, has gone on the attack on behalf high school football:

Monroe Senator Stewart Cathey Jr. is urging high school football families to call their local superintendents and tell them to demand the LHSAA allow players to begin contact practices September 11th.

Cathey Jr. says also asks you to ask them to support the scheduled October 8th season start date.  . . .

Where was Sen Cathey’s fighting spirit when churches were closed down, when they were declared non-essential?  Why does he continue to say nothing about the limited reopening of churches and businesses?  What an idiotic thing to do – to raise a ruckus about high school football while remaining silent on more important things!

Far too many of our exalted elected officials ain’t worth the hair in a hog’s snout.
