Offsite Post: Two Poems, ‘The Poet’s Burden’ and ‘Antifa’

The opening stanza of ‘Antifa’ is this here:

Anti-Fascist

Freedom-Fighters,

With fist and fire

You bring revolution

To the streets:

A new order

Of fearsome justice,

A new man to live

Upon the earth,

Eden and eschaton

Crushed together

Like two skulls in your

Trembling fingers.

Both poems may be read in full at https://www.newenglishreview.org/custpage.cfm?frm=190545&sec_id=190545 .

Anathema to the Union!
