A Higher Worship

When was the last time you saw the streets of any [u]S town or city packed full of people for processions celebrating Christmas or Easter?  No memories?  That’s because it rarely happens.

However, in Orthodox countries like Serbia, even a ‘lesser’ feast of our Lord Jesus, like His glorious Ascension, receives such honor.  Here are just a couple of pictures from this feast being celebrated in Belgrade:

Many more pictures are here:

Furthermore, which exudes the spirit of holy worship, the typical modern American church building –

Or an Orthodox church?

Thankfully, there are kinships between the South and Orthodox countries like Serbia.  For ensample:

May the Orthodox Faith of the Holy Apostles grow stronger here in Dixieland that we too may honor God to the fullest, rather than offer Him a displeasing, watered-down, focus-group tested worship.

Holy Ælfred the Great, King of England, South Patron, pray for us sinners at the Souð, unworthy though we are!

Anathema to the Union!
