It
isn’t healthy right now. As evidence, we
again quote Louisiana State Sen Dan Cathey, Jr.:
Cathey says during the summer when the
LHSAA was trying to figure out how to play high school football during a
pandemic, his phone was blowing up about the possibility that the season would
be canceled.
“I didn’t hear calls during the session
about tort reform, I didn’t hear calls about tax issues, but when we started
talking about canceling high school football, my phone lit up,” said Cathey.
During
the unprecedented shutdown of church services, work places, and so on, the only
thing that raised the ire of large numbers of Louisianans was the possible
cancellation of the high school football season.
Our
consciences will burn us for all eternity if we do not repent of such evil.
