‘Why Good People Shun Politics’

It is a well-known saying:  Good people don’t get involved in politics.  There are several reasons for this; we will look at a couple of them now.  First is the hypocrisy of many elected officials.  The following is a report from Arizona:

‘State lawmakers gave final approval Tuesday to two measures designed to promote public health — but not before exempting themselves from one of them.

‘Without dissent, the Republican-led Senate approved House Bill 2164 to eliminate certain artificial dyes and chemicals from what can be served and sold at public schools. That measure, already approved by the House, now goes to Democratic Gov. Katie Hobbs.

‘But HB 2165, a proposal to keep people from using their food stamps to purchase sodas, drew unanimous derision from Senate Democrats — particularly after their Republican counterparts refused to apply the same restrictions on the use of the taxpayer dollars they get in a daily allowance for their expenses while the Legislature is in session’ (Howard Fischer, ‘RFK Jr. praises Arizona legislation targeting processed foods, soda,’ tuscon.com).

Second is the petty hatred and accusations that flare up between officials, which is happening now in Louisiana:

‘When it comes to the high price of auto insurance, Governor Landry and Insurance Commissioner Tim Temple are pointing their fingers – not at the insurance companies or trial lawyers, but at one another.

‘When he announced the 20 insurance reform bills he’s supporting, Temple noted that he has not had a conversation with Landry about the issue in a long time.

‘“I have not had a conversation with the governor about insurance reform since May 7th of 2024, when we all met together in the press conference room to do the bill signing for property reform,” Temple said at a news conference in Ascension Parish. “I know there’s been other meetings that have taken place that I’ve not been part of. It’s not because I’ve said no, it’s because I wasn’t invited to be part of those.”

‘ . . . Landry issued a statement Friday on social media.

‘“At a time when Louisianans are suffering and seeking answers to their sky high insurance bills, our Insurance Commissioner (Tim Temple) hosted a media spectacle telling citizens he has all the authority he needs to fix our insurance crisis,” Landry’s statement reads. “Well, why hasn’t anything been done? He gave us a package of bills last year, yet we still have no relief.

‘“I’d remind him that we were not elected by insurance companies or trial lawyers, but instead were elected by the people who entrusted us to fix this mess,” Landry’s statement continued. “Data shows our package of bills will lower insurance rates for all Louisianans and I look forward to the day where our Insurance Commissioner can get on board”’ (Andrew Greenstein, ‘Landry, Temple in war of words over insurance reform,’ louisianaradionetwork.com).

Because of all this ugliness, the folks who want to live a virtuous Christian life, the very ones we need in government, run as far away from it as possible.  The results are easily predictable:  Leftists gain control of most of the levers of government power and force evil agendas upon the populace:

‘A bill in Colorado is making its way through the state legislature that would create legal grounds for the state to revoke custody of parents who misgender their children.

‘The bill is called the Kelly Loving Act, named after a 40-year-old transgender man killed in the Club Q mass shooting in 2022.

‘Its text states that “deadnaming, misgendering or threatening to publish material related to an individual’s gender-affirming health-care services” will be deemed “coercive control” and will influence the court “when making child custody decisions and determining the best interests of a child for purposes of parenting time”’ (Eva Terry, ‘Colorado bill could strip parents of custody for misgendering their children,’ deseret.com).

For those with knowledge of the broader plan of the satanists to overthrow Christianity, they will recognize this proposal as part of Alice Bailey’s ten goals that, once accomplished, would lead to the easy establishment of the anti-Christian, globalist, New World Order:
