How the South Can Overcome Marxism

 

There is a lot of consternation about the fate of the South and the rest of the States will be under the rule of Biden-Harris and their Marxist allies in and out of government:

A big part of the answer is to look to the Orthodox Saints for our strength and guidance, particularly those who vanquished the atheist Marxists in their own lands in the 20^th century by their Grace-filled love and meekness.  If the South would love them, honor them, kiss their cheeks, and yearn for communion with them, she would likely find that she is no longer simply Christ-haunted but Christ-bearing:

 

Moral heroes are the warriors of the Spirit. We must venerate them and raise them to the heights worthy of their holy transports. They are the models after which we should fashion our lives, they are the exemplars of conduct. Their thoughts are lofty, inseparable from the nobility of their will, and their hearts burn to join their Savior, the Redeemer of all mankind. At the beginning of our times of trouble, during the persecution of the Church, one of these martyrs foresaw the coming of terrible times and spoke thus to his congregation: “I am tired … I have grown weak... Help me, O Lord! Weep, O native land! Weep and sob, O Mother Russia... Enemies at home and abroad have broken you up am are tearing you apart: You are humiliated, disgraced, insulted, robbed... The sanctity of your public life, law and order are rudely trampled; the freedom of your speech is pitilessly crushed; plucked are even the last petals of your young and fragrant freedom... Tyranny has enveloped Russia in its dark shadow. But the salvation of our country is in the hands of the Almighty and of our holy Church—the builder and the architect of our Russian land, its greatness, and its power... Now our Mother Church is bereft of all human rights and has become a persecuted slave. The Orthodox Churches under Turkish oppression have never, not in the past or now, known this. The Christians under the cruel persecution of heathen Roman emperors were better off than we are. Roman emperors regarded Christian burial places as sacred and left them alone, and in them Christians could pray peacefully. But you should rejoice that the time of martyrdom in the name of Christ the Savior is at hand. Hear me, you servants of Antichrist… We shall celebrate the Divine Service in our homes, even in our cellars. If you take away our corporals, with our Bishops’ blessing, we shall celebrate the Liturgy without them. If you take away by force our sacred vessels, in our household dishes we shall prepare the awesome sacrifice of the Body and the Blood of our Lord. Without it we cannot live. It is our life; without it our life is death. The Holy Eucharist gives us joy, unearthly ecstasy, and the strength to live, to fight and to bear suffering bravely and unflinchingly. We do not fear persecution or torture. We want them, we yearn for them and for their blood-stained beauty. We shall not tremble before your tribunals and executioners. Our maimed bodies will like needles pierce your conscience (should you be endowed with such) and will prepare the way to the victory of light over unenlightened darkness, of Christianity over new heathendom. The power of Christianity, the power of Christ the Savior is almighty. And Antichrist will be consumed, by the power of the spirit of His mouth (2 Thess. 2:8).” 

 

So daringly and triumphantly rang the words of the new martyrs at the dawn of new and cruelest persecutions by the servants of Antichrist in a Russia already falling over the precipice. The Church was created by God Himself. Its head is invincible Christ-God. 

 

Under Diocletian, once on Easter Sunday, 17,000 Christians were killed near their church. Executioners fell in exhaustion, and the steel of their swords were blunted. But Christianity stood firm. And the holy Church will stand firm while the names of her godless persecutors will go down in history bearing the brand of anathema.

Our lack of faith in the True God has deprived us of men like St Parthenius (+4^th hundredyear), and made us embrace instead the religion of scientism, one of the Antichrist’s chief forerunners (Fr Athanasius, Sermons 55A & B http://www.saintnicodemos.com/content/apocalypse_audio.php):

The One Needful Vaccine

 

A perfect follow-up to yesterday’s post about modern vaccines and the morbid obsession with extending earthly life, from the head bishop of the Ukraine, His Grace Onuphry:

 

People are too preoccupied with earthly life and forget about the main thing, which is eternal life said His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry, Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, in his sermon during the Liturgy at the Archangel Michael Cathedral on January 31, 2021, reports the Information and Education Department of the UOC.

 

“Today people talk a lot about earthly life, about the need to be vaccinated or people will die. However, there is a vaccine for eternity too, and this is repentance,” said the metropolitan.

 

He noted that now people are overwhelmed by the fear that if they do not get vaccinated, they will not live long. At the same time, everyone talks only about earthly life, and they forget about the main thing, which is eternal life.

 

“Whatever a person does to himself, whatever vaccine he injects – one, ten, or none, he will still die. But if we take the vaccine of eternity, that is put our efforts into repentance, we will live forever in Heaven in Our Lord Jesus Christ,” said His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry.

The Links between Vaccines and Abortion

They are many, and they are grizzly:

I’m going to show you parts of Dr. Poltkin’s 9-hour deposition where he reluctantly admits the horrific facts and gruesome details about the relationship of abortion to vaccines. Dr. Plotkin was called to answer questions from a lawyer who was defending the rights of a mother who refused to vaccinate her child due to concerns about the ingredients in the vaccines. 

First off, Dr. Plotkin attempts to conceal the fact that hundreds if not thousands of babies were aborted in the process of bringing vaccines to market. Then the lawyer hands Plotkin a published study with Plotkin himself as the author. The study used over 70 aborted babies. And, after numerous clarifications, he is forced to admit that, yes, this was related to his work with vaccines.

And then, Dr. Plotkin reveals other macabre aspects of the abortion link to vaccines. Not that it should make a difference to pro-lifers, but the children aborted were not disabled babies who were likely to die in the womb anyway. They were not miscarriages either, as is so often presented to assuage the consciences of people conflicted about taking abortion-tainted vaccines. That is just a complete falsehood. He even says that all of them were over three months gestation. 

If that is not grotesque enough, Dr. Plotkin’s response to harvesting organs from these dozens of babies, who were aborted all after the third month of pregnancy, is even further disturbing. 

So, they were healthy unborn babies all beyond three months gestation and they had to be three months in utero or older because they needed to have developed the organs these mad scientists were after, organs like their pituitary glands, the unborn children’s lungs, their skin, their kidneys, spleen, hearts and tongues.

How different is the attitude towards death of a true Christian:

'Saint Antony was the son of poor Christians from Athens. In order to help his parents, he entered the service of an Albanian Muslim at the age of twelve. In 1770, during the repression which followed the Greek rising in the Peloponnese, his masters sold him to some Turks, who tried in vain to convert him. He was then sold to a succession of five harsh, fanatical masters, but he remained unshaken in the Faith, and was bought at last by a Christian coppersmith in Constantinople. Having been warned one night in a dream that he would receive God's help to obtain the glory of martyrdom, he was recognized next day in the street by one of his former masters, who began shouting to the passers-by that the young Christian was his runaway slave and an apostate from Islam. Antony was dragged to the court amid much commotion. He confessed that he was willing to die a thousand deaths for the love of Christ. "You would become a Christian more easily than you could make me deny my Christ," he told the judge. Unable to persuade the Saint to feign conversion in order to save his life and under pressure from false witnesses, the judge reluctantly committed him to prison. Antony consoled the other Christian prisoners, gave away what little money he had to the poor, and wrote to thank his master for all his kindnesses and through him asked the forgiveness of all Christians and besought the prayers of the Church.

  'As the vizir delayed passing sentence, the Saint's accusers made a complaint to the Sultan Abdul Hamid who, fearing a breach of the peace, ordered his immediate execution. The valiant sixteen-year-old went joyfully to the place of martyrdom. He offered his neck to the executioner, who struck him lightly three times to see if the pain would make him yield. Contra Abraham Hamilton, III

We like a lot of what the American Family Association fights for, so we are unhappy that we have to speak against one of its members.  But Mr Hamilton told some real whoppers about the North and the South in the episode of The Hamilton Corner that aired on Friday, 29 Jan. 2021, and some correctives are in order:

First is his presentation of the South as initiating an offensive war of conquest against Washington City.  This is false.  The South left the Union by a peaceful vote of secession.  It is Pres Lincoln who invaded the South to keep her in his Blessed, Mystical Union; it is he and his forces who began a war of conquest against the South.  Dixie was fighting a defensive battle, a war to protect her homeland from in-breakers.  She was not trying to conquer Washington City.

Second, because of this first misconception, Mr Hamilton implies that it was perfectly lawful for Southerners to have their land confiscated by the Union military conquerors and redistributed to others without due process.  However, since he was wrong in point one, he is wrong here as well.  The Southerners were not in rebellion, and thus there was no legal ground to justify stealing their land.  President Andrew Johnson, whom Mr Hamilton scolded for doing so, was actually right in cancelling General Sherman’s Field Order No. 15 and returning the land to its rightful owners:

Third, Mr Hamilton speaks of the Jim Crow South as if its forms appeared out of the aether without any kind of precedent in American life.  What he and others do not realize is that it was actually an import from the North, where the virtue-signaling Abolitionists talked a big game about love for the black man but actually made life miserable for free blacks.  See especially page 20 of this essay by Dr Donald Livingston:

The South has always been much more integrated than the eugenicist North, which has made Dixie a target for depopulation and resettlement by the ‘pure bloods’ of New England.  Jim Crow was an aberration for the South, brought about because of the violent overturning of her social order by the Abolitionists.  Slavery would likely have ended peacefully in the South like it did in other parts of the world, but the radical Abolitionists couldn’t let things alone.  They had to hurry the hands of Providence to bring about ‘justice’, even if it meant the spilling of rivers of blood.  Now, the spiritual descendants of the Abolitionists - Black Lives Matter, Antifa, etc. - are clamoring for the same thing:  quick, violent justice.

The South is not without blame, though.  Lynchings, fire-hosing black children trying to go to school, and these sorts of things are a stain on the soul of the South and should be repented of in a proper manner.  However, as we said just above, the social justice warriors bear some blame for these events.  The sudden overthrowing of the South’s social order by them created the conditions in which they could occur.  Had they left well enough alone, they likely would not have happened (one will note the absence of such widespread outbursts of violence towards black folks during the era of slavery).

And just as relevant for the current moment, accepting Mr Hamilton’s version of American history (that Southerners were in ‘rebellion’ against Washington City) also creates a justification for the federal government/Big Tech/etc. targeting of Trump supporters, those discontent with COVID restrictions, etc., as ‘insurrectionists’:

To borrow a line from others, fake history is just as pernicious as fake news.  We hope Mr Hamilton and others who promote the Puritan-Lincolnian view of American history (with its Neoplatonic/Hegelian determinism that an Indivisible Yankee American Empire is fated to dominate geopolitics so that all the world can be pressed into the mold of zombifying, atomizing, materialistic Yankee capitalism) will trade what is false for what is true.
