Is It Time to End the Rush Limbaugh Show?

Things are getting a little embarrassing for those looking after Rush Limbaugh’s legacy.  A three-hour program anchored by second-tier hosts with some clips of Mr Limbaugh thrown into the mix is quickly wearing thin.  Mr Limbaugh was a likable man to listen to, but he wasn’t much of a deep conservative thinker.  His whole philosophy amounted mainly to

-vote Republican in every election;

-get rich if you can; and

-embrace every technological innovation without hesitation or concern.

Ain’t none of that conservative, folks.

All of this is contributing to the aforementioned boredom that surrounds the program now.  For the sake of Mr Limbaugh’s good name, and for the sake of advancing a true conservativism, it is time for The Rush Limbaugh Show to leave the radio airwaves.  By all means, keep the web site for folks to explore, but let someone else have his time slot on the radio.

Regrettably, those most likely to take over aren’t much better than Mr Limbaugh:  Mark Levin, Shawn Hannity, etc.  And with the Bruce Jenner/sexual confusion wing of the Republican Party gaining strength (https://www.theamericanconservative.com/state-of-the-union/california-and-the-incoherence-of-the-right/, https://www.nbcnews.com/feature/nbc-out/trump-pride-gay-republicans-why-they-re-backing-president-n1243469), we are starting to think that it would be better by far to simply play an audio version of Dr Russell Kirk’s The Conservative Mind on a never-ending loop from 12-3 in the afternoon rather than let the fake conservatives indoctrinate millions of people with watered-down versions of French Revolutionary ideology.

  1. Rush Limbaugh wasn't a deep conservative thinker? Yeah and Mike Tyson wasn't a very hard puncher.
