The Vale of
Angels
Is
shrouded in darkness.
The horn of
righteousness
At
Bangor is broken.
Community is
replaced
By
the digital prison of Snapchat,
Restraint of
human passion
Is
provided by the soft Communism
Of Green New
Deals.
Father
Comgall, blessed forever
Before God,
even here on earth
Your
soul and flesh were united
To His
Light, making you
A
true theologian.
Enlighten us
again
O
Holy Father
To know that
prayer
And
self-sacrifice
Offered in
love
Truly
bind men
To one
another;
That
fasting which sees
Even milk as
a luxury
Will
guard the world from greedy
Exploitation;
That
unceasing praise of God
The Holy
Trinity
Is
an honor that exalts
A man of any
rank.
The
world waits for a saving word
From your
forgotten
Monastery;
untie her tongue
By your
mighty prayers,
That
she, together
With
Lindisfarne, Kiev,
Luxeuil,
Iona, Sketis,
Mynyw,
Optina, St Gall,
Montecassino,
Cluny,
Sinai, and
all their sisters,
Will
fill the width and breadth and depth
Of the world
with hymns to God,
Dispelling
the miasma begotten
Of the
brokenness of man
That
poisons all created things.

Holy Ælfred
the Great, King of England, South Patron, pray for us sinners at the Souð, unworthy though we are!
Anathema to
