Why not just stay within the familiar orbit of the Roman Catholic and Protestant world? This interview, in pretty simple and uncomplicated language, gives some good reasons to consider the Orthodox Faith, which, for those concerned with Western civilization, was actually the original Christian Faith/Church of the West, and will always remain her only true home:
